Is fashion Changing Rapidly?

What people wear is determined by whether they genuinely like the clothes they wear, or most of the time, because the media wears them.

What is defined by “fashion trends” is heavily influenced by how these clothing brands market their designs, and most of the time is through the power of social media. Affiliates play a major role in getting the brand's clothing out there, however, these affiliates happen to already have a massive following online, or they’re just extremely attractive. This plays through the consumers' minds and makes them wanna step forward to be just like the models wearing a cropped leather jacket, or Kendall Jenner wearing a Balenciaga shirt.

However, genuine fashion interest from consumers typically comes from comfort. In terms of appearance, and feeling of the material. Different styles of clothing give out distinct feelings for each fit, where it could be described as cozy, smart, fresh, elegant, tough, you get the idea.

The brand that performs the best understands this through countless research in trends throughout the environment of the market.

Gen Z only problem?

Does the weather even matter for what clothes you decide to wear?

In this day and age, weather doesn't even seem to be a concern to people when deciding what to wear. If it's pouring rain... they'll still show off the Birks, and if it's scorching hot, they still wanna wear baggy pants with a cropped jacket. And they both are distinct, but there's no concern for the sweat they'll generate or the cold they will catch. The downside of fashion is people's fear of judgment or the attention they seek.

As the majority of Gen Z wants to have all the attention to showcase their unique fashion, it also neglects their well-being. Will they judge me? Will they like my fit? I know it's hot but I should wear my new puffer jacket. Essentially we forget what we actually like and buy what the media favours the most instead of what we genuinely like the most. 

Key factor is, is to wear what YOU personally like and what fits the occasion. Not for others. Remember to purchase clothing on your own behalf.
